At 3AM this morning (September 16, 2009), Kangin was caught in the middle of a fist-fight in a bar / small pub in Gangnam. There were 3 other people involved in the fight. Kangin was then brought to the local police station for further questioning. There have been lots of contradicting articles posted on the net. Some point their finger at Kangin for being involved in the actual fight while others claim he was nothing but a victim.
Official statements from both the police officers and SM entertainment have been released regarding this matter. A representative from SM Ent. denies the rumor by saying that even though he was present at the scene, Kangin is innocent.
Having said that, charges are said to have been pressed against him. The fact that he WAS in a bar at 3AM doesn’t really help and we all know he has quite a temper.
On the bright side, according to MaxMovie, the Gangnam’s police stated, “The fact that Kangin was in the assault is true. But he did not hit anyone, instead, he was the one who got attacked, therefore he was the victim.”
It is probably too early to draw a conclusion concerning his involvement in this case, but we will keep an eye on any further news and updates. Some sources say a press conference will soon be held to clarify this issue.
We hope for the best as we don’t want anything bad happen to him, especially since Super Show II and Asia Song Festival is just a few days away.
