IT IS A SUCCESS!!!

You guys do remember next week, as at November 6, 2009, is the boys’ 4th anniversary right? … and of course we have prepared something to celebrate that very special moment… we are THE TWITTER ELFS.. and as the name suggests, our project is actually quite predictable and simple. MAKE #superjunior A TRENDING TOPIC!! but let’s not forget someone who has been through a lot in the past few weeks.. someone who has done so much to the group… someone who is in need of our supports the most.. that guy is Kim Youngwoon.. and as true ELFs, we choose to STAND BY KANGIN! We sure don’t want to leave him out of the celebration and that is why we will MAKE #standbykangin A TRENDING TOPIC too!!

So how can we make that happen?

If you’re long enough to be a part of us, you are probably aware of our very first attempt to make #superjunior a trending topic.. We have learnt so much from our mistakes and now that we have received inputs from so many different sources, we’d like you to please read through the instructions provided below with care.

Let’s first learn from our previous mistakes!

- Not enough supporters
- What we did was basically just keep tweeting the same thing over and over and over again until each and every one of us met the twitter limit
- We didn’t set the exact time, but instead we only decided on the date

Now what do we learn from it?

- The concept of trending topics is basically to record the keywords people use the most in their tweets at a particular period of time AND NOT ALL DAY
- Also, the more people use that keywords, the more likely that keywords get into the list AND NOT BY THE NUMBER OF TWEETS

WHAT YOU MUST DO:

- Make as many accounts as possible. That is why we put up this project a week earlier.. so that people can have more time to prepare.
- Start tweeting at the scheduled time – 12AM KST. Twitter has a shelf-life of approximately 11-15 minutes so we need MORE PEOPLE (or at least accounts) to tweet #superjunior and #standbykangin within that time.
- ONE HASHTAG PER TWEET!! The right example: as ELFs, we choose to #standbykangin no matter what happens!! or #superjunior has been a part of myy life.. they deserve international recognition – WRONG example: #standbykangin #standbykangin #superjunior #superjunior

WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO:

- (do not) simply spam #superjunior and #standbykangin!!! Need we remind you that IT’S NOT THE NUMBER OF TWEETS THAT COUNTS BUT IT’S THE NUMBER OF SUPPORTERS / CONTRIBUTORS
- (do not) protect your accounts Twitter will not be able to see your tweets if you lock / protect your accounts and make sure you open it the day before nov 6 cause it may take a while for the system to recognize it.

INSTRUCTIONS

- Login to your original account and tweet anything you want as long as it has #superjunior and #standbykangin in it! DO NOT POST MORE THAN 4 TWEETS
- Logout from your first account and login into your second account and do the same thing like you did with your first account
- Logout from your second account and login into your third account and bla bla bla…
- Make sure you do it real quick so you can tweet with your 20th account within that 15 minutes time

Sounds tedious and old-fashioned?? well we got the solution right here for you

TWEETDECK!!

Yes.. for those of you who aren’t familiar with tweetdeck, let us introduce you the power of tweetdeck ^^
Tweetdeck allows you to add multiple accounts to the system which we find really helpful for us admins who are both updating our own accounts as well as twelfs. The list of the accounts are located right above the tweet box which are clickable. You can disable one account by putting it to off and enable the other one.. BUT YOU CAN ALSO ENABLE ALL OF YOUR ACCOUNTS! how great is that?

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TWEETDECK USERS

- Add all of your accounts that have been registered before to the system
- Enable all of your accounts
- Type in anything you want in the tweetbox as long as it has #superjunior and #standbykangin (eq. happy 4th anniversary to #superjunior and we choose to #standbykangin) and hit enter
- Just wait for a couple of seconds and you’ll see the exact same words being tweeted by ALL of your accounts.

Just make sure you make as many accounts as possible (we’re not sure whether tweetdeck has a limit but you can try) but remember NOT TO SPAM AND STICK WITH 4 TWEETS PER ACCOUNT

So there you go… please read through them carefully cause if you miss a few parts of the instructions you might not be able to get the boys into the trending topics.

In case you’re wondering, why do we use #superjunior instead of say… #suju4thanniv or #happy4thannivsuju.. because if this project ends up in success, it will be the FIRST TIME EVER in twitter history Super Junior gets into the trending topic so wouldn’t it be better for us to let the world know of the existence of SJ first?
